Branko Kokanović
Born in 1983 and residing in Belgrade, Serbia, Branko Kokanovic’s journey into the world of free and libre software began with his first encounter with Slackware in 2001. Enthralled by the principles of freedom and openness, Branko embarked on a path of contributing to local Wikipedia projects, driven by a desire to actively participate in the open-source community.
His passion for contributing to the common good led him to delve into OpenStreetMap (OSM) in 2009, where he found a platform to channel his efforts towards improving and enhancing geospatial data. Branko’s contributions to OSM primarily revolve around employing automated methods to rectify and augment data, all while preserving the human touch and ensuring data integrity.
