Jakub Lojda
Jakub Lojda will be joining us as a speaker at the DORS/CLUC conference!
Jakub is an expert in electronic system design, with a particular focus on automating fault-tolerant system design using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) for accelerated data processing in applications requiring high reliability, such as space probes and medical equipment. Through his PhD, Jakub developed an automated design framework that simplifies complex design processes, and his work has resulted in more than 30 research publications.
In addition to his academic work, Jakub is a passionate advocate of open-source projects and Linux operating systems.
In this talk, he will explore new advanced multimedia streaming solutions, with a focus on open-source and self-hosted options. The presentation will guide the audience through key concepts of modern streaming tools, highlighting the benefits of decentralization, privacy, and user control that support the future of internet infrastructure. Through practical examples, Jakub will demonstrate how self-hosting provides full control over your own content, making it an appealing alternative to centralized services.
Join us and learn more about the latest solutions for self-hosted multimedia streaming, decentralization, and the future of internet infrastructure!
